2017 Call for SR&TD Projects in all Scientific Domains

The FCT has announced the Call for Scientific research and technological development (SR&TD) project grants 2017, with the respective referential of the Merit of the Project. Deadline for application is 17th May 2017.

IV Congresso Nacional da Formação Profissional
 

The congress will be held on 20th April  2017, at the Grande Auditório of ISCTE-IUL, Lisboa.

The IV Congresso Nacional da Formação Profissional is organized by Forma-te, ISCTE-IUL, McDonald´s and TAP Portugal.

The Organizing Committee includes the researchers Sílvia Silva and José Neves, from the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Group at BRU-IULand Andreia Garcia from the staff at BRU-IUL.

2017 Call for SR&TD Projects in all Scientific Domains
 

The FCT has announced the Call for Scientific research and technological development (SR&TD) project grants 2017, with the respective referential of the Merit of the Project.

Deadline for application is 17th May 2017.

The approved proposal shall receive funding up to €240.000 each, for a maximum period of 36 months.

All applications must be submitted in English through an electronic form at Balcão 2020.

Useful documents: The Specific Regulation on the Domain of Competitiveness and Internationalization (RECI) and the Regulation on Projects Funded Solely by National Funds.

Regarding the 2017 Call for SR&TD Project Grants, the following documents have been published:

The submission of the proposals this year is done exclusively through Balcão2020, and the process is substantially different from before. 

The BRU-IUL calls your attention to the fact that the initial part of the procedure requires definition of the user category, that can be provided only by the beneficiary institution (in our case ISCTE-IUL). However, the specific details of this procedure are still in the process of being decided and defined by our institution

Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Individual Fellowships H2020-MSCA-IF-2017
 

BRU-IUL would like to call your attention to the forthcoming call for Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Individual Fellowships H2020-MSCA-IF-2017 that will open on 11th April, with the deadline 14th September 2017.  

MSCA program is specifically designed in promoting international mobility of the researchers.

Therefore, the BRU-IUL would like to call your attention that this call may be good opportunity for your collaborator(s) from foreign institutions, that are interested in coming here to BRU-IUL, to conduct a productive scientific collaboration with MSCA funding.

The mobility rule must be complied: Researcher funded by the MSCA program must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline.

Individual fellowships (IF) are designated for an experienced researchers.

Experienced Researcher must, at the date of the call deadline, be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience. Proposal should be submitted by the researcher in liaison with the host institution.

In the MSCA Regulations document Horizon 2020 Work Program 2016 - 2017 you can check the conditions specific for the Individual Fellowships.

Chinese Lantern Festival celebrated in ISCTE-IUL
 

Chinese students and scholars studying in Portugal perform to celebrate the Lantern Festival in ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon on February 11, 2017. Rector Luís Reto exchanged gifts with Chinese ambassador Mr. Cai Run and gave a speech on the gala. Some 400 Chinese students and scholars attended the gala.

Best Paper Award
 

The Business Research Unit congratulates the researchers Fernando Ferreira and Marjan Jalali from the Management and Strategy Group and Manuel Oliveira and Guillermo Ilander, for receiving the Best Paper Award with the paper “A multiple criteria evaluation system for bankruptcy prediction small and medium-sized enterprises”.

The Award was received in the XXVII Jornadas Hispano-Lusas de Gestión Cientifica, in Benidorm, Spain on 1 to 4 February, 2017.
