We are proud to announce that, as a result of the on-going DBA with China at ISCTE, the first association of students of the DBA Program in China was created and it is composed of 120 members.
The ISCTE-IUL (BRU-IUL) is the only Portuguese University that has two doctoral programs officially recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education: one with the Southern Medical University (Guangzhou) and other with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu).

The Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL) will participate for the first time in the Science & Technology Week.
What science is done in Portugal? Who are our scientists? How do they work? What are they researching on? What results are they getting?
From 23 to 29 November, during the Science & Technology Week, scientific institutions, universities, schools, and museums open their doors giving the public to opportunity to meet their experts and see them work.
BRU-IUL will participate with the activity “Come to meet our young researchers in Economics and Management” on 25th November from 16h30 to 18h00, at the ISCTE-IUL.

This is a call for scholarships targeting two first year students of the joint PhD in Tourism Management granted by ISCTE-IUL and Universidade Europeia. Candidates will have the opportunity to join a research project and to benefit from a 950€ monthly grant during ten months.
We are looking to recruit exceptional PhD students aligned with our research interests to join the PhD program in Tourism Management.
ISCTE and Universidade Europeia are offering full-time doctoral studentships in Tourism Management starting in November 2015.
How to Apply for the scholarship:
Candidates may apply for the scholarship once they have successfully submitted their application for admission in the joint PhD in Tourism Management.

We are pleased to announce that the 21th Spring Meeting of Young Economists (SMYE2016) will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, between March 31 and April 2, 2016.
The conference will be hosted by ISCTE- University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL). The Local Organizing Committee include the researchers Nádia Simões, Marta Silva, Ricardo Correia and Telma Gonçalves from the Economics Group at BRU-IUL.
The goal of the conference is to promote the exchange of ideas and experience among young economists conducting research in all fields of economics. More information
