BRU-IUL Scientific Council Plenary - Director´s Election

A eleição da Diretora é realizada por votação de todos os membros elegíveis.
Os membros elegíveis são os membros integrados que constam da equipa que estava registada na FCT em 2016.
Após a análise das reclamações e o parecer da jurista decidiu-se incluir na lista de eleitores os membros (identificados com*) que cumpriam os critérios de elegibilidade de 2016 para efeitos da equipa FCT.
O horário para votações foi também atualizado. O plenário mantêm-se para dia 24 de Janeiro das 12:00 às 13:00, no auditório 0NE1, e horário de votação das 12:00 às 17:00.
No sentido de alargar a participação dos investigadores no plenário, alargou-se o período para a votação, nomeadamente com o reinício no dia 25 de Janeiro às 10:00 e encerramento do ato eleitoral às 17:00.

All the eligible members vote for electing the Diretor.
The eligible members are the integrated members that are part of the Research Unit Team registered in FCT in 2016.
Following the analyses of the complaints and the opinion of the jurist, the members (Identified with *) who fulfilled the 2016 eligibility criteria for the purpose of the FCT team, were included on the voters list.
The voting time was also updated. The plenary session will be held on 24th January from 12:00 to 13:00, auditorium 0NE1 and voting time will be from 12:00 to 17:00.
The period for voting was extended in order to broaden the participation of researchers in the Plenary:
the voting period will resume on 25th January at 10:00h and conclude at 17:00.

Excellence Paper Award
The Business Research Unit congratulates the researcher Raul Laureano from the Research Methods Group and Adriana Fernandes and Braulio Alturas, for receiving the Excellence Paper Award with the paper “Validation of the Hospitality Culture Scale in the context of hotel industry”.
The Award was received in the Tourism and Management Studies International Conference 2016, in Olhão-Algarve, Portugal on 16 to 19 November, 2016.
Award António Simões Lopes – Best PhD Thesis 2016
The Business Research Unit congratulates Paulo Marques, for win the Award António Simões Lopes, for the best PhD Thesis.
This award was given by Ordem dos Economistas in partnership with Pricewaterhousecoopers.
Paulo Marques was a student in our PhD in Economics and the title of his thesis is “Young People and Labour Market Segmentation in Europe: An Institutionalist Perspective.
The award was given on 27th October 2016 at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, in Lisbon.

Award Best People Managers
The Business Research Unit congratulates Frederico Rosa for win the Award MGP’16.
This award was given to the best People Manager.
Frederico Rosa was a student in our PhD in Management.
The award was given on 2th November 2016 at Altis Grand Hotel, in Lisbon.

Call for Papers- 14th European Conference on Psychological Assessment
We are pleased to announce that the conference 14th European Conference on Psychological Assessment, will take place in Lisbon, ISCTE-IUL, between 5th and 8th July 2017.
EAPA tries to cover a broad variety of topics, such as diagnostic processes, assessment of personality, intelligence and behavior, observational and neuropsychological assessment as well as assessment in the different applied fields such as clinical and health, education, work or evaluation research.

Submission opening – October 15, 2016
Submission deadline – December 15, 2016
Abstract acceptance notification – early February
The conference chair is Professor Aristides Ferreira from the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Group of BRU-IUL.
The Organizing Committee includes the researchers and staff from BRU-IUL.
